Overview
Not every Experience Survey needs to be sent automatically. RaveCapture supports multiple manual sending methods, making it easy to gather feedback at key moments in the customer journey—whether you're reaching out to a single customer or running a broad follow-up campaign.
This article covers how to send surveys manually using:
Direct Request
Bulk Invite (CSV Upload)
Shareable Survey Links & QR Codes
💡 Note: Surveys must be enabled before they can be sent manually.
✅ Why Use Manual Sending?
Manual survey sends are flexible, fast, and available to all plan types. They allow you to:
Send surveys outside of automated flows
Re-engage past customers with new survey formats
Target specific audiences without using triggers
Collect feedback from events, campaigns, or QR codes
📩 1. Send a Direct Request (Single Customer)
Where to Find It:
Go to My Campaigns > Experience Surveys
Click the three-dot menu (•••) next to your desired survey
Select "Send Direct Request"
What You’ll Need:
Customer Name
Customer Email
Behavior:
Sends a unique email with a personalized link
Automatically pre-fills customer information in the survey
Survey response will appear in the moderation queue
Source is recorded as “Direct Request” in analytics
📊 2. Send a Bulk Invite (CSV Upload)
Where to Find It:
Go to My Campaigns > Experience Surveys
Click the three-dot menu (•••) next to your survey
Select "Send Bulk Invite"
Upload Requirements:
CSV file with up to 1,000 rows
Required columns:
Customer Name
Customer Email
Optional for product-type surveys:
Product ID or SKU (used to associate a product)
Behavior:
Emails send within ~30 minutes of successful upload
If the CSV contains formatting errors, the entire upload is rejected
The system does not partially send malformed files
Survey responses are logged with a source of “Bulk Invite”
The email content is configured on the Bulk Invite page, not in the survey builder
⚠️ If using product-type surveys, make sure product IDs or SKUs match existing catalog entries.
🔗 3. Use a Shareable Survey Link or QR Code
Where to Find It:
Go to Survey Builder > General Tab > Main Subtab
Copy the Survey URL or download the QR Code
How to Use It:
Embed in post-purchase flows or SMS campaigns
Add to social media, newsletters, or landing pages
Print on packaging, inserts, or physical signage
Link Behavior:
Scenario | What Happens |
Survey is enabled | Link works normally, customer can complete the survey |
Survey is disabled | Customer sees a disabled message or redirect (if configured) |
Link shared manually | Name and email are not pre-filled |
Want to capture identity? | Add Customer Information questions to the survey |

🌐 Multi-Language Support Notes
Survey links and content do not auto-adjust based on browser language
Language is controlled manually through the email template
For automatic sends: configure in Emails Tab
For bulk sends: configure in the Bulk Invite page
There is no dynamic language logic for survey questions or system UI

✅ Segment survey types and use Product Tags to avoid overlap
