Google Business Profile Campaign Overview

Send automated Google Business Review Requests to customers after orders or service completion.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Overview

The Google Business Review Campaign lets you automatically request public Google reviews from your customers on your Google Business Profile (GBP).

By connecting your Google Business Profile, you can send branded review requests through RaveCapture that link customers directly to your Google review page. This helps boost visibility in local search results, improves trust with new customers, and strengthens your public brand reputation.

⚠️ Google Business Profile reviews are different from Google “Seller Ratings.”
GBP reviews help with local SEO and credibility, but do not generate the star ratings that appear on Google Shopping ads.

If you want to earn Google Seller Ratings for your ads, see this guide:

This campaign works alongside your existing RaveCapture review automation tools. When the Google Business Profile Campaign is enabled:

  • It overrides the Company Review Campaign type

  • The “Write a Review” button on your public RaveCapture Store Page will automatically send customers to your Google review form

How It Works

  • Review requests are sent through email using your connected Google Business Profile review link

  • Customers click the “Leave a Google Review” button and submit feedback directly on Google

  • RaveCapture handles the email design, timing, and tracking for you

  • The campaign shows as Connected, Not Connected, or Expired based on your Google account connection status

Setting Up the Google Business Profile Campaign

Step 1: Connect Your Google Business Profile

  1. Go to Campaigns › Google Business Review Campaign

  2. When prompted, enter your Google Place ID in the pop-up modal

  3. To find your Place ID:

    • Open the Google Place ID Finder

    • Scroll to the map and search for your business

    • Copy the Place ID

  4. Paste it into the input field and click Save & Continue

Step 2: Configure Your Email Campaign

Customize your Google review request email and branding, including:

  • Send Delay

  • Subject Line

  • Email Body

  • Button Text

  • Signature

⚙️ All Google Business Review emails use link-only review forms (Google does not allow embedded review forms).

Step 3: Campaign Settings

Under Branding & Design, configure your email’s colors, styles, and visual customization.

Why Can't I Enable the Campaign?

You will not be able to activate the Google Business Reviews campaign if:

  1. Your send ratio on the Campaigns page is set to 100% Product Reviews

  2. You have not provided your Google Business Profile Place ID

  3. You currently have a Company Review Campaign enabled

Best Practices & Tips

  • Set a short delay (1–3 days) after order completion for the best response rate

  • Use Smart Reminders to follow up gently and increase review volume

  • Keep your branding consistent with your other RaveCapture campaigns

  • Multi-location businesses must use unique Place IDs per location — this requires a separate RaveCapture account for each location
