Customize language and product-related labels to match your brand

Overview

The Advanced Personalization feature lets merchants customize default product-related labels and set the language used across RaveCapture’s customer-facing content. This enables a more tailored, branded experience that better reflects your business—whether you sell physical products, services, or experiences.

These settings affect both email templates and review display widgets.


Language Support

RaveCapture supports 13 built-in languages. To update the language:

  • Go to Account Settings > General > Advanced Personalization

  • Scroll to Language Selector and choose from the list

Supported Languages:

  • English (default)

  • Danish

  • Dutch

  • Finnish

  • French

  • German

  • Italian

  • Norwegian

  • Polish

  • Portuguese

  • Portuguese (Brazil)

  • Spanish

  • Swedish

✅ The selected language will localize:

  • Review request emails

  • Review widgets and carousels

  • Thank You Pages

  • SMS and form labels (for system-generated content)

❗ Custom content created by merchants (e.g., custom form questions, email body text) is not automatically translated.

If you need a language not listed, please reach out to support—we may be able to assist.


Custom Label Overrides

You can override default product terms to reflect the item or subject you're collecting reviews for (e.g., "Book Reviews" or "Instructor Feedback").

Editable Fields:

  • Product Label (singular)

  • Products Label (plural)

  • “Product Reviews”

  • “Top Rated Products”

These overrides apply across:

  • Widgets (including carousels and top-rated sections)

  • Email templates

  • Public-facing review displays

💡 Use Case Example:

  • Collecting reviews for loan officers? Change:

    • Product → Officer

    • Products → Officers

    • Product Reviews → Officer Reviews

    • Top Rated Products → Top Rated Officers

⚠️ Custom labels apply across all languages. If you're using a translated interface, ensure the custom terms you enter make sense in context.


How to Update Language & Labels

  1. Navigate to Account Settings > General > Advanced Personalization

  2. Use the Language dropdown to select your desired language

  3. Enter your custom text in the four label fields

  4. Click Save at the bottom

⚠️ There is no in-platform preview. To view your changes, check the live widget or a sample email.


Limitations

  • Label customization is limited to the four product-related phrases above

  • This feature does not affect:

    • Custom form questions or answer labels

    • Experience Surveys or Company Review language

    • Internal platform UI or dashboard

  • No live preview is available; changes are seen on live outputs


Related Personalization Features

While Advanced Personalization controls labels and language, additional branding customization is available under:

White Label Emails

  • Remove RaveCapture branding from email templates

  • Enabled under: Account Settings > General (Power Plan required)

Company Page White Label & CSS

  • Remove branding and upload a custom stylesheet

  • Enabled under: Account Settings > Company Page


Best Practices

  • Keep replacement labels short and intuitive

  • Use this feature when collecting reviews on non-product subjects (e.g., “Books,” “Services,” “Staff Members”)

  • If operating in multiple languages, double-check that your custom terms translate appropriately
