Step-by-Step Instructions for Installing the RaveCapture Shopify App
Follow these steps to install and configure the RaveCapture app in your Shopify store:
Download the RaveCapture Shopify App:
Go to the Shopify App Store and search for "RaveCapture."
Click the Add App button to begin the installation process.
Onboarding, Collecting & Display Reviews
Once installed, the app will automatically apply the necessary JavaScript to your Shopify theme file in the <head>, allowing you to use app embeds like the Product Review Widget, TrustBadge, and Product Review Carousel. More on app embeds below.
You will go through a quick onboarding to customize review requests, and then you should begin implementing our display widgets and importing existing reviews.
1. Onboarding Setup:
After installation, you’ll be guided through a quick onboarding process where you’ll:
Choose whether you want to collect Product Reviews or Company Reviews.
Customize email settings for review requests to match your brand.
2. Import Existing Reviews:
If you have reviews collected from other platforms, you can import them into RaveCapture. Learn how to import reviews here.
3. Configure & Add Display Widgets:
Going back to the app in your Shopify admin portal you can easily install widgets directly in your Shopify theme by navigating to Online Store > Themes > Customize > App Embeds.
By enabling the RaveCapture Init Script you'll be able to add our app embed widgets easily into your pages.
Use app embeds to install three types of widgets:

TrustBadge: Display trust signals on key pages to build credibility.
Product Review Carousel: Highlight selected reviews in a rotating carousel.

4. Begin Collecting Reviews:
The app will start pulling in newly fulfilled orders to automatically create pending review requests.
