Connect RaveCapture to Klaviyo

Let's set up your integration - it'll only take a few minutes!

1. Create a Private API Key

First you'll want to create a Private API Key to establish the connection. Within your Klaviyo account navigate to the following areas to create your key:

  • Go to Settings > Account > API Keys

  • From here, click on Create Private API Key found here

  • Once inside, the API scopes page and have given your key a name, check Full Access for the Events scope and click Create.

After creating the API key you'll be redirected to a page to copy the key. Copy it and move onto the second step.

2. Input Key into RaveCapture Account

Within your RaveCapture Account, click on Settings (bottom left) Site Integrations > Marketing

From here find Klaviyo, open the page and paste the API key into the designated spot. CLICK SAVE SETTINGS (very important 😎)

3. Create and see the Event Types in your Klaviyo Account

Super simple! Now it's time to capture your data. You'll need to set up an audience segmentation/list event to pull in the data each time a desired action is created.

To set up the event(s) go to Audience > Lists & Segments > Create New (or choose existing one) > Edit Definitions.

From here you will find the events when choosing What someone has done (or not done) and for the "Person has" tab you'll choose one of the events above.

Make sure to save your segment and you're all done!

You can also see the metrics for each event type by going to Analytics > Metrics
