Learn how to add RaveCapture to your OpenCart Store.

This article will help you install RaveCapture on your OpenCart 2-based store.

Installing RaveCapture to your Store

Step 1: Visit the Integrations Tab within your RaveCapture Account by selecting the settings icon in the header>Integrations. Then select OpenCart. We have 2 listings: 2.0 - 2.2 & 2.3

Step 2: Download the OpenCart 2 module to your computer.

Step 3: Extract the ZIP file contents to a folder. You should have 2 items:

  • admin folder

  • catalog folder

Step 4: Upload all files to your store's root directory for OpenCart 2.

After you've successfully installed RaveCapture to your OpenCart 2 store, the next step is to configure your credentials and settings.

Connecting your plugin to RaveCapture

Step 4: From within your OpenCart 2 backend, go to:

  • Extensions > Extensions

  • From the drop-down, select "Modules"

  • Scroll down til you see "RaveCapture Reviews", and then click the Install button

  • Click the Edit button

Step 5: Enter your Account Email, RaveCapture API Key & Secret Key and then click the "Verify API Data" button, before clicking Save.

To obtain your API Key and Secret Key from RaveCapture, select Settings in the left menu>Account Settings. Once on that page, scroll down to view your API Key and Secret Key.

Step 6: The last step is to upload your installer file for OpenCart, go to:

  • Extensions > Extensions Installer

  • Find the "TrustSpot_install.ocmod" file from the ocmod folder, and upload it here.

  • Next click on: Extensions > Modifications and press Refresh at the top

RaveCapture should now be installed and ready for configuration.

Configuring your module settings

Below the credentials area, are all of your settings for the RaveCapture plugin.

Note: The following settings (Widget and Star Ratings) are for Product Reviews Only.

Order Status:

When an order is set to this order status, the information will be sent to RaveCapture, to start the review request process. The review request will then be sent to the customer based on your settings under the "automatic email settings" portion of your RaveCapture account.

Show Mini Stars on Category Pages

If you'd like to show stars under products on your category pages, enable this option.

Show Mini Stars on Product Pages

If you'd like to show stars under the product name on the product pages, enable this option.

Widget Location

RaveCapture uses this setting to determine where to place your product review widget. If it doesn't show up right away - don't worry! Our team is standing by to help with any template questions.

Common Settings > Status

This tells OpenCart if this module is enabled or disabled for use on your store.
